We discuss Risk benefit and challenges with consideration of increasing contact with nature into the curriculum. 1 hr session presented by Deb Watson or Julie Gaul.

An opportunity to unpack Bush and Beach regular excursions. We review benefits, managing risks and increasing learning opportunities. This 2-3 hr session can be extended over a series of sessions to build your teams confidence and skill set. Can be presented by Deb Watson, Julie Gaul and Fran Hughes.
Becoming Eco Smart for early education
As a single 2-3 hr session reviewing the development of a sustainable QIP using Eco Smart (2019) This presentation is designed for service level with a number of the team participating. Presented by both Deb Watson and Julie Gaul as a team or individually.
Leading for Sustainability
A series of 6 sessions utilising Eco Smart tool for developing a sustainable QIP with management of change. In order to reach the regional areas this can be presented as either a long weekend commencing Friday afternoon - ending Sunday midday, or as a 2 day workshop or for Sydney regions as 5 evenings spread across a workable time frame . Presented as a team by Julie Gaul and Deb Watson.

Together we will develop a vision of what is possible for families, staff and children within your service and work towards it’s reality, This session suits those reviewing or developing their QIP and introduces the concept of Sustainability and Leading for Change.

Beyond Little Green Steps
A series of 5, sessions for teams working through sustainable actions and the NQS. This series uses Eco Smart for Early Childhood, a tool to assist sustainable QIP development and goes Beyond Little Green Steps including hands on activities as well as considering change issues. Ideally offered over 2 days which can be either Friday- Saturday or 2 separate days. Presented as a team by Julie Gaul and Deb Watson.

Education for Sustainability- Online learning module- ECA and ECEEN
ECA's Learning module developed with ECEEN is a great tool to start your years professional development.
The module has been developed to provide educators with an understanding of what 'sustainability' really means and how they can build the sustainability of their early childhood education and care service in meaningful ways.Here is the link for the module. It is available to purchase through the ECA Learning Hub website, and it is also available as a part of an ECA Learning Hub Annual Subscription.

EcoSmart Centres- NESA accredited
Utilising the revised NQS, EcoSmart Centres is a program for early years services wishing to further their journey of becoming a sustainable , environmentally responsible service provider. There is no end in this journey but a plan designed for collaboration and inclusion of children, staff,families and community will ensure the service is on the right path. This program includes 12 hours of NESA accredited teacher training, with the option of a further 3 hrs mentoring.
ECEEN is currently developing workshops for Family day care and OOSH so please contact us with your requirements.

Learning for Sustainable Development is more than Greening your physical environment and includes working with teachers and management to consider educational strategies for living a sustainable life.
We seek to work with your strengths and identify areas where a cultural shift is possible.
Our trainers are Early Childhood Professionals with an Environmental strength, who understand the unique constraints and demands of working with young children.
